Student Voices: Time + Internet

by Anita Roselle

These two anonymous conversations are part of an informal interview series with online students in various stages of their academic journey.

Both students discuss the need to focus and prioritize their time. Trouble with internet capabilities was also an issue for both of these students. Read on to learn more.

Question: What are the biggest challenges that you have faced (or are facing) as an online student?

Answers: Student A: Time management and internet problems.
Student B: Spotty wi-fi, book availability and time change.

Q: What strategies do you use to address these challenges? What has worked for you?

A: Student A: Stop playing Candy Crush and use the hotspot on my phone.
Student B: Plan, take care of things early, invest in quality equipment.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to share?

A: Student A: All required textbooks should be available as e-books and audio.

I want to thank these two students for taking the time to give us more insight into their learning experiences.
